History

Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Data Analysis Application and Research Centre (VERIMER) was officially established with the Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 5 July 2021 and numbered 31532.

Our Mission

To perform statistical data analysis with scientific methods in line with the demands of universities, public institutions / organisations and private sector, to report the results of the analysis, to contribute to scientific analysis and evaluation processes in research and development activities, to ensure that data is obtained with scientific methods, to organise training and certificate programs, to provide consultancy services, to publish publications on data analysis, to work with the industry and the public to help institutions produce information from data and create business value, and to ensure coordination and cooperation in all these matters.

Our Vision

To be a pioneering centre that provides reliable and effective solutions for academia and the private sector in data analysis, follows new methods and techniques in parallel with technological developments applies them to different fields with innovative interdisciplinary approaches, and contributes to scientific studies.

Areas of activity of the centre

The fields of activity of the Centre are as follows:

a) To provide services for data analysis and reporting of the research conducted within the University based on scientific methods.

b) To provide consultancy services to academic staff, associate, undergraduate and graduate students in determining and applying appropriate scientific data analysis methods to be used in their studies.

c) To provide training to academic staff, undergraduate and graduate students on software for scientific data analysis.

ç) To provide consultancy services on data analysis and reporting based on scientific methods in line with the requests of public institutions/organisations and private sector and to provide services for coordination and cooperation in order to carry out joint project studies.

d) To prepare a physical or virtual environment where all data, especially academic data, related to data analysis can be shared in order to contribute to academic development.

e) To follow and announce all current research results and scientific developments related to data analysis.

f) To fulfil other duties assigned by the Rectorate and other authorised bodies of the University, which are in accordance with its purpose.
